HSBC appoints Jonathan Calvert-Davies as Group Head of Internal Audit

HSBC Changes Top Role

05 Sep 2019 – HSBC Holdings plc (‘HSBC’, the ‘Company’ or the ‘Group’) announces the appointment of Jonathan Calvert-Davies as Group Head of Internal Audit, effective 1 October, 2019. He will report to Jon Symonds, Chair of the Group Audit Committee, and will be a Group Managing Director.

Mr. Symonds, Chair of the Group Audit Committee and Deputy Group Chairman, said:

“Jonathan brings to the HSBC Group a wealth of audit experience and an invaluable external perspective on banking and regulation.”

Mr. Calvert-Davies joins HSBC from KPMG where he has led the Financial Services Internal Audit Services Practice since early 2018. Prior to this, he spent more than 25 years at PwC, working in the UK, US and Europe, providing assurance and advisory services to the banking and securities industries.
